About Elevate Philanthropy

We prioritise our projects based on their estimated impact on the world. Our longer projects tend to be with clients giving tens of millions or more a year and making significant changes to their giving. However, we are pretty open to having quick advising calls with philanthropists of any size. We typically have more project opportunities than capacity, so in some cases our highest value-add may be connecting you to other actors. Each year, Elevate offers a limited number of pro bono engagements particularly focused on new and early first-time donors.

Co-Founder

Joey Savoie is a philanthropic consultant and co-founder of Elevate Philanthropy. His focus areas include ecosystem building, early-stage projects, evaluation, systems design, and staffing. He is the co-founder and former CEO of Ambitious Impact (formerly Charity Entrepreneurship), an organization that has helped launch high-impact nonprofits across global health, animal welfare, and development, collectively reaching millions of people and animals.

Anna Christina Thorsheim

Co-Founder

Anna Christina Thorsheim is a philanthropic consultant and co-founder of Elevate Philanthropy. Her core strengths include strategy development, beneficiary surveys, partnerships, and organizational scaling. She is the co-founder and former Executive Director of Family Empowerment Media, an organization focused on improving maternal health and family planning through evidence-based media interventions. Her background spans health innovation, technology, and organizational development.

Sanurag Basu is a Founders Associate at Elevate Philanthropy, where he supports both internal operations and philanthropic work across client projects.
